BENNINGTON, VT (September 12, 2025) – iCare Health Network is proud to celebrate the one-year anniversary of assuming operations at MissionCare at Bennington, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center dedicated to providing high-quality care for individuals in need of short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing support.
Since opening its doors under iCare’s leadership in August 2024, MissionCare at Bennington has admitted more than 45 residents into its programs. Many of these individuals had been waiting in acute care hospitals for placement prior to the program’s launch. In fact, before transitioning to MissionCare, those residents collectively spent over 4,200 hospital days awaiting discharge.
By providing a skilled nursing option in the community, MissionCare has not only supported residents and families but also significantly reduced the strain on Vermont’s hospital system by helping to free up much-needed hospital beds.

MissionCare at Bennington continues to expand its services and programming, drawing on iCare Health Network’s decades of expertise in skilled nursing and specialty healthcare programs throughout New England. The center remains focused on resident-centered care, community engagement, and ongoing innovation in post-acute services.
As MissionCare enters its second year, iCare Health Network looks forward to building upon this foundation of progress, deepening its partnership with the Bennington community, and further enhancing quality of life for residents and families.
