ROCKY HILL, CT (April 13, 2026) – At 60 West, a culture of compassionate, person-centered care is driven by individuals who consistently go above and beyond in service to residents. Among them is Lynn Kalvinek, CNA, who has been named a 2026 inductee into the Connecticut CNA Hall of Fame.
Recognized by the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), this honor reflects Kalvinek’s 20 years of dedicated service and her lasting impact on residents, families, and colleagues. Known for her positivity, attentiveness, and commitment to excellence, she exemplifies the values that define high-quality care within the skilled nursing environment.
Her nomination, submitted as part of the Hall of Fame selection process, offers a detailed reflection of her contributions and the difference she makes each day:
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lynn Kalvinek, CNA. She has been compassionate, attentive, and truly dedicated to the comfort and well-being of her residents for the past 12 years at 60 West. Her kindness and patience shine through in everything she does, and she consistently goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care. She treats everyone with dignity, respect and acceptance making her residents feel supported and at ease. She also has a remarkable ability to recognize when to gently encourage her residents toward greater independence, striking a perfect balance between support and empowerment.
Two years ago, her dedication was acknowledged with a transition to rehab tech where she continues to promote wellness and encourage residents to maintain their highest level of functioning within our restorative nursing program. She understands that true care includes individuals maintaining their strength, confidence, and dignity. With her approach and guidance our residents thrive within our program.
Lynn not only is a noble caregiver but also true supportive peer and a talented crafter! Lynn embraces our turtle mascot theme and took the initiative to create custom turtle t-shirts she designed and created herself for the team. This was a major boost in morale for all, myself included as knowing our spirited mascot empowered Lynn to share her talent and generosity with her peers. This is a testament to Lynn’s essence and dedication to her residents and staff.
In addition to her professionalism, she has a wonderful sense of humor that brings light and warmth to even the most challenging situations and days. Her ability to make others smile while still providing attentive, high-quality care is a rare and special gift.
It is my honor and pleasure to nominate Lynn Kalvinek for the 2026 Certified Nursing Assistant Hall of Fame.”
Kalvinek’s recognition reflects both her individual contributions and the broader commitment to excellence at 60 West, where team members work collaboratively to support residents in achieving their highest level of independence and well-being.
iCare Health Network congratulates Lynn on this well-deserved honor and thanks her for the meaningful impact she makes each day.
