MANCHESTER, CT (February 24, 2026) – We’re honored that McKnight’s recently featured Chris Wright — Chairman of the AHCA Board and Co-Owner of iCare Health Network — in a thoughtful interview spotlighting what drives his leadership and vision for the long-term care industry.
The article explores Chris’s view on how compassion, clarity of purpose, and a commitment to collective progress are essential to navigating the challenges facing long-term care today. We’re grateful to Kimberly Marselas and McKnight’s for telling this story and giving readers a window into the thoughtful, human-centered approach that guides our work.
“I’ve been focused on hearing and listening,” said Wright, the chairman of iCare Health Network, during an interview at the eCap Summit in Miami earlier this month. “I think that’s the most important role in all of this, to listen to the members. It’s not about me controlling the agenda. It’s about being sure that our members are being served and we’re all compassionate about improving quality care and how we get there.”
Wright has worked his way up through the AHCA leadership, having previously served as vice chair and secretary-treasurer and as a former president of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities. After 40 years in post-acute and long-term care, he stepped back from his daily role as CEO of iCare to focus on the board role, to which he was elected last October.
