iCare's Chris Wright Honored with CAHCF Lifetime Achievement Award

July 22, 2025

MANCHESTER (July 22, 2025) – At the 96th Annual Membership Meeting of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities (CAHCF), held at the picturesque Saybrook Point Resort on July 17, 2025, iCare Health Network’s Chairman and former CEO, Chris Wright, was honored with the CAHCF Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chris Wright’s impact on the skilled nursing profession spans nearly four decades, and his leadership in advancing high-quality care is both deep and enduring. As co-founder of iCare Health Network, Chris helped grow the organization into a network of 12 skilled nursing facilities across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont, caring for nearly 1,500 residents on any given day,  and a reputation for innovative care models, specialty programming, and commitment to excellence.

Throughout his career, Chris has embodied a servant-leader ethos. He has served with distinction on the Board of Governors of the American Health Care Association (AHCA), including roles as Secretary/Treasurer and now as Vice Chair. His dedication to our state affiliate, CAHCF, is equally profound. Chris has served as President, Vice Chairman, and Immediate Past President of the CAHCF Board, and remains an active and generous contributor to its mission and direction.

Under his leadership, iCare facilities have been awarded multiple AHCA National Quality Awards, including Silver and Bronze designations. These honors reflect not only the commitment of our facilities to quality improvement but also Chris’s vision to foster a culture of accountability, compassion, and innovation.

Chris’s recognition with the Lifetime Achievement Award also celebrates his tireless advocacy efforts—whether attending AHCA’s annual Congressional Briefings, supporting the AHCA PAC, or walking the halls of the State Capitol in Hartford and on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. His voice and presence have strengthened the post-acute and long-term care sector in countless ways.

All of us at iCare congratulate Chris on this well-deserved honor and thank him for his years of leadership, mentorship, and unrelenting dedication to the field. The award is a reflection of a remarkable career—and the legacy he continues to build.
