EAST WINDSOR (May 8, 2025) – Fresh River Healthcare and iCare were proud to be Gold sponsors and walk in the Team Hope Walk at Chatfield State Park on May 4th. The walk was organized by the Connecticut Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. We stand with the Huntington’s disease community in raising awareness, hope, and support—one step at a time.
According to their website, The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) is the premier nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by Huntington’s disease. From community services and education to advocacy and research, HDSA is the world’s leader in providing help for today, hope for tomorrow for people with Huntington’s disease and their families. In the battle against Huntington’s disease no one fights alone.
Fresh River’s Huntington’s Disease (HD) program is uniquely positioned as the only dedicated skilled nursing option in Connecticut for individuals living with HD. While other facilities may accept residents with movement disorders, Fresh River goes beyond by offering a truly specialized environment—staffed by trained professionals and supported by strong clinical partnerships.
