iCare Health Network's Chris Wright Elected Chair of American Health Care Association Board of Governors

October 22, 2025

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 22, 2025) – Chris Wright, former Chief Executive Officer and current Chairman of iCare Health Network, was today elected Chair of the Board of Governors of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) at the AHCA/NCAL “Delivering Solutions 2025” Convention & Expo in Las Vegas.

Wright, who co-founded iCare Management, now known as iCare Health Network, and has spent nearly four decades in leadership within the long-term and post-acute care field, has been a consistent voice for advancing access to high-quality care for residents with complex needs and those often underserved by traditional systems.

The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) represent more than 15,000 member facilities nationwide, and the role of Chair of the Board of Governors is among the most visible and influential in shaping the national long-term care agenda. Wright has previously served as AHCA Vice Chair, as Secretary-Treasurer, and was also President of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities. Earlier this year, he was honored with that Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing decades of commitment to improving outcomes for residents and building stronger systems of care.

In remarks announcing the election, AHCA/NCAL President and CEO Clif Porter stated,

“It is an honor to have Chris and Sarah as the new chairs of our boards. Their years of expertise and passion for the long term care sector will be key in taking the work we do to new heights. I’m grateful to them and all our board members for dedicating their time and energy to keeping the sector united and charting our course forward.”

Wright was elected alongside Sarah Silva of Oregon, who will serve as Chair of the NCAL Board of Directors.

Wright’s leadership has long been associated with innovation and compassion. At iCare Health Network, he guided the growth of a management organization that today oversees 12 skilled nursing facilities across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont, known for their specialized programs in behavioral health, memory care, complex medical services, and reintegration of justice-involved individuals. His election to AHCA’s top leadership role is both a recognition of his impact at the state and national level and an opportunity to bring his deep experience in challenging areas of care to the forefront of national policy and advocacy.

iCare Health Network congratulates Chris Wright on this significant milestone and looks forward to his continued leadership on behalf of residents, families, caregivers, and providers across the country.
