Parkville Care Center Earns Prestigious 2026 AHCA/NCAL Silver National Quality Award

July 15, 2026

HARTFORD (July 15, 2026) – We’re proud to announce that Parkville Care Center has been named a recipient of the 2026 AHCA/NCAL Silver – Achievement in Quality Award, one of the nation’s most respected recognitions for long-term and post-acute care providers.

Presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), the Silver Award recognizes organizations that have demonstrated systematic, organization-wide performance improvement using the nationally recognized Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework. It is the second of three progressive levels in the National Quality Award Program and reflects an organization’s ability to build sustainable systems that consistently improve care and organizational performance.

This achievement builds upon Parkville’s previous Bronze Quality Award and reflects years of dedication by our clinical teams, support staff, leadership, residents, families, and community partners.

“Receiving the Silver Quality Award is an important milestone for Parkville Care Center,” said Jennifer Johnson, Administrator of Parkville Care Center. “It reflects the hard work and commitment of every member of our team to continuously improve the care and experience we provide to our residents. While we’re proud of this accomplishment, we also recognize that quality is an ongoing journey, and we’re committed to continuing that work every day.”

Parkville has experienced tremendous momentum over the past year. In addition to earning this national recognition, the center has expanded specialty programming, strengthened clinical capabilities, and recently opened one of Connecticut’s few on-site skilled nursing dialysis centers—allowing more residents to receive life-sustaining dialysis without leaving the building.

The Silver Quality Award recognizes much more than individual programs. It validates the systems, leadership, performance measurement, and continuous improvement processes that support consistently high-quality resident care throughout the organization.

For residents, families, referral partners, and healthcare providers, this award provides additional assurance that Parkville is committed not only to meeting today’s standards, but to continually raising them.

The National Quality Award Program celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026 and has recognized more than 8,000 long-term care providers that have embraced continuous quality improvement. Parkville Care Center now joins an elite group of organizations nationwide that have achieved the Silver level of distinction.

As part of iCare Health Network, Parkville continues to invest in innovative clinical programs, exceptional staff, and measurable quality outcomes that improve the lives of those we serve.

Congratulations to every member of the Parkville Care Center team on this outstanding national achievement.
