Wear Red at Touchpoints at Bloomfield: A Commitment to Women’s Heart Health

BLOOMFIELD, CT (February 11, 2026) – In recognition of National Wear Red Day, staff and residents proudly participated in the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement, coming together in a sea of red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease in women.

While Touchpoints at Bloomfield’s commitment to cardiac care has been well documented—most recently through its certification by the American Heart Association—events like Wear Red Day demonstrate that heart health extends beyond clinical programs. It lives in daily routines, supportive relationships, and a culture that prioritizes wellness at every level.

At Touchpoints at Bloomfield, heart care isn’t limited to a specific program or designation—it shows up in everyday conversations, encouragement from caregivers, and shared moments like this one. Wear Red Day was less about a single event and more about reinforcing a steady, ongoing commitment to helping residents and staff make informed, practical choices that support long-term heart health.

For many of the women in our care and on our team, this cause is personal. Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death among women, yet it is often under-recognized and under-discussed. By wearing red together, the Touchpoints community sent a simple but powerful message: awareness matters.
