HARTFORD (December 20, 2022) – On December 16, 2022 the staff and residents of Chelsea Place Care Center in Hartford got into the Christmas spirit with a series of fun holiday events.
Chelsea Place held its annual Holiday Decorating Competition where staff and residents participate in decorating the units on which they work and reside. This tradition started over ten years ago and visitors, vendors and supporting staff do the judging and the winners win a pizza party for staff and residents! Staff and residents really enjoy this annual tradition, spending time decorating together but also the holiday cheer that comes about from the entire care center being decorated.
Following the holiday stroll to judge the completion this year, Chelsea Place held their first annual Christmas Pageant where residents dressed up as Mary, Joseph, Angel Gabriel, the three kings and shepherds. Staff did readings from the Bible and sang Christmas carols led by singer and guitarist Kathy Gregory.
And of course there was a visit from Santa! Nice work, Chelsea Place team!
