Touchpoints at Chestnut's Morliana Evans' Makes the Journey from CNA to RN

EAST WINDSOR (September 22, 2022) – Congratulations to Morliana Evans at Touchpoints at Chestnut! “Mo” started off at Touchpoints Rehab a decade ago as a Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) and after a short leave from the facility she returned as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and has been an excellent primary nurse on the long term care unit. She was such a good nurse and so on top of everything on her unit that multiple staff members encouraged her to go back to school to become a Registered Nurse (RN).

Mo realized that others were noticing her potential and she decided to believe in herself too. She returned to Capital Community College where she had already earned an Associates Degree in Social Work and an Early Childhood Education degree. She was immediately accepted into their competitive nursing program and against tough odds she made it through.

According to Touchpoints at Chestnut’s Director of Nursing Jean Medeiros, “If you know Mo, you would know that she has faced many obstacles through the years, but she never gave up and she is an excellent role model for her two young daughters. She has a strength and determination that is apparent to all around her. The staff at Touchpoints never doubted her and now are just so proud of her most recent accomplishment of passing her NCLEX.”

Please welcome our newest Registered Nurse! We wish her the best in her new role and we are blessed to have such an awesome person on our team.
