STOWE, VERMONT (May 12, 2026) – MissionCare at Bennington is proud to announce that Carin DeGrenier has been named the 2026 MDS Coordinator of the Year by the Vermont Health Care Association (VHCA). The award was conveyed to Carin at the VHCA Annual Conference & Trade Show, held May 6-7, 2026 at the Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vermont.
The award recognizes outstanding dedication, professionalism, and leadership in long-term care, honoring individuals who play a critical role in ensuring quality resident care, accurate clinical assessments, and strong interdisciplinary coordination within skilled nursing facilities. The Vermont Health Care Association serves as the statewide voice for long-term care providers across Vermont and advocates for quality care and professional excellence throughout the industry.
As MDS Coordinator at MissionCare at Bennington, DeGrenier oversees the complex assessment and care planning processes that help guide resident outcomes, regulatory compliance, and individualized care delivery. The MDS role is central to the coordination of clinical services in skilled nursing settings, requiring deep knowledge of resident care, reimbursement systems, interdisciplinary communication, and federal quality standards.
DeGrenier was recognized for her commitment to residents, attention to detail, and consistent dedication to excellence in long-term care.
