MissionCare Health's Innovative Model Featured on National 'Elevate Eldercare' Podcast

MANCHESTER (July 30, 2026) – iCare Health Network Vice President of Business Development and Communications David Skoczulek recently joined Susan Ryan, CEO of AgingIN, as a featured guest on the nationally recognized Elevate Eldercare podcast for a conversation about caring for some of long-term care’s most complex and underserved populations.

The episode, titled “Redefining Long-Term Care for Complex Populations,” explores how innovative care models can expand access to high-quality post-acute and long-term care for individuals who are often overlooked by the healthcare system.

The conversation highlights iCare Health Network’s commitment to serving residents with complex medical, behavioral health, and social needs through specialized programs designed to improve outcomes while preserving dignity.

A significant focus of the discussion is MissionCare Health, iCare’s nationally recognized model of care for justice-involved individuals, people with significant behavioral health needs, and other difficult-to-place populations. Skoczulek explains how MissionCare demonstrates that compassionate, clinically sophisticated care can successfully serve residents who have historically faced barriers to placement while benefiting hospitals, correctional systems, and the broader healthcare continuum.

Ryan and Skoczulek also discuss workforce development, reducing stigma surrounding vulnerable populations, and the importance of building healthcare organizations that prioritize relationships, purpose, and individualized care.

The episode reflects a shared belief that the future of long-term care depends on innovation, collaboration, and a willingness to rethink traditional models in order to meet the needs of an increasingly complex resident population.

“I’m grateful to Susan Ryan for the opportunity to discuss MissionCare Health and the work our team is doing to expand access to high-quality long-term care for individuals with complex medical, behavioral health, and justice-involved backgrounds,” said Skoczulek. “We’re proud to share how innovative models can help providers meet these challenges while delivering compassionate, person-centered care.”

The Elevate Eldercare podcast, hosted by Susan Ryan and produced by AgingIN, features conversations with thought leaders who are advancing person-directed care and transforming aging services through innovation and leadership.
