60 West’s Director of Dining Experience, Jim Scott, earned the distinction of Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) from the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals. CDMs are experts at managing foodservice operations and ensuring food safety. They are responsible for implementation of menus, foodservice purchasing, and food preparation. Jim has been with 60 West since its opening five years ago and is with Healthcare Services Group.  

On October 9, 2018, as part of the American Health Care Association’s Annual Conference in San Diego, CA, Administrator Jessica DeRing accepted a Bronze - Commitment to Quality Award on behalf 60 West. With this addition, all ten iCare managed skilled nursing communities have an AHCA Bronze or Silver Award.

Today, 60 West in Rocky Hill was one of the long term and post-acute care providers recognized with a 2018 Bronze - Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). Implemented by AHCA/NCAL in 1996, the National Quality Award Program is centered on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, which is also the basis of the metric-based AHCA/NCAL Quality Initiative.
