Happy Long Term Care Administrator's Week 2023

March 13-17, 2023 is National Long Term-Care Administrator’s Week. During this week, staff, residents, families, and volunteers have the opportunity to say “thank you” and honor the administrators who lead our nation’s long-term care communities. A heartfelt and sincere thank you from all of us at iCare Health Network to our dedicated Administrator team who continues to lead through challenging times and work tirelessly to safeguard and enrich the lives of the residents we serve. -
On March 3, 2023 the team at Touchpoints at Bloomfield celebrate Read Across American Day and Dr. Suess’ Birthday. In honor of the two occasions, The Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two made a special visit and the whole team made sure to look the part. The event highlighted the importance and joy of reading and, as always, ended with a special treat and dancing. Read Across America is the nation’s largest celebration of reading. Greenwood Nursing Home Fire Remembrance Ceremony Held at Parkville Care Center on the 20th Anniversary

On February 24, 2023 Parkville Care Center and the iCare Health Network team held a Remembrance Ceremony to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Greenwood Nursing Home Fire. On February 26, 2003 a fire broke out at the then Greenwood Nursing Home at 2:40 AM. Eventually traced back to a resident room, the fire claimed the lives of 16 and injured an additional 23 people. Those who died ranged in age from 18 to 76 and all were from the greater Hartford area. It was six degrees at that time on that …
