Silver Springs' Lynn Webster Retires from iCare After 41 Years of Dedicated Service

On November 5, 2021, Silver Springs’ Lynn Webster, RN, retired from Silver Springs and iCare Health Network after 41 years of service. Lynn began her career at Silver Springs in May of 1980 in the dietary department. She worked in various roles throughout the center, including as a charge nurse, nursing Supervisor and several years, up until her retirement, as a Regional Nurse Liaison. Silver Springs' Pedro Salas Inducted into the ACHCA "CNA Hall of Fame", Retires After 46 Years

On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, Pedro Salas was inducted into the American College of Health Care Administrator’s ”CNA Hall of Fame” for 2020, a ceremony that had been delayed nearly a year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Salas, a Meriden resident, had been a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Silver Springs Care Center for over 46 years after serving his country in the United States Army. In mid-January 2020 a CNN article appeared detailing how a 104 year-old Marine Corps veteran, who served in World War II, was asking for Valentine’s Day cards. According to the article, Major Bill White (USMC, Ret.), was looking to expand on his collection of special memories cataloged within his many scrapbooks.
