  • Dr. John Rodgers, Prime Healthcare, iCare Health Network, Touchpoints Rehab, Pulmonary Rehabilitaion, Touchpoints at Farmington Due to pulmonary disease, I have had other recent hospitalizations and associated rehab stays. Both rehabs said they had pulmonary services but I ended but back in the hospital shortly after returning home. This time I spoke with my pulmonologist, Dr. John Rodgers, and he recommended Touchpoints Rehab. How wonderful to have “MY pulmonary team” at my side at the hospital and then again at Touchpoints at Farmington. Touchpoints will be my only choice from this day forward
  • If you are out and about, take a look at the Touchpoints at Bloomfield grounds and see what we are up to.  For the past three years we have been tapping our trees for sap to make maple syrup from scratch. We are lucky to have our very own Andy Cassasa, Director of Maintenance, collect the sap and cook it down to make pure maple syrup. Every year it’s a tradition for the recreation department to make homemade Belgian waffles for our residents with our very own maple syrup. 
  • Silver Springs Care Center, iCare Management, iCare Health Network, Five Star CMS Rating, Meriden, CT Silver Springs Care Center on Roy Street in Meriden recently celebrated receiving a Five Star CMS Rating. An iCare managed, 159 bed facility, Silver Springs specializes in memory care, behavioral health, Veteran’s care, short term rehab and substance use disorder treatment through the iRecovery program. The coveted Five Star overall rating was accompanied by a Five Star quality measures rating.
  • Touchpoints at Farmington, iCare Health Network, Career Fair, Job Openings, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Touchpoints at Farmington will be holding a Career Fair on March 8th, 2018 from 10am to 2pm. Open positions include Part Time RN Supervisor, Part Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and per diem dietary aides. Interviews will be conducted on-site and on the spot. Bring your resume and be prepared to interview with a member of the Human Resources team. Same day offers will potentially be made to qualified individuals. Bring two forms of ID and start dates will be within two weeks of hire.
  • iCare Management, Touchpoints Rehab, Skills Day, Training and Education, Certified Nursing Assistant iCare held a clinical skills training session for a team of CNAs at the Keeney Center in Wethersfield on February 16th. Skills and techniques reviewed by the Skills Day instructors included patient lifting and moving, hygiene techniques, vital signs and other daily activities within the care centers. CNAs are a vital part of the front line staff and often have the most day to day contact with our residents. Their skills and interactions are critical to resident success and wellbeing.
