On December 12th and 13th Chelsea Place Care Center in Hartford held a Festival of Lights Christmas celebration with proceeds from the fundraising component going to Intercommunity, a non-profit substance use treatment, behavioral health and primary care provider in Hartford and East Hartford. Events included Pictures with Santa, Hot Cocoa and Bake Sale and Raffle Prizes. Each department designed their own themed tree to be raffled off. Click here or see below for a gallery of images. -
Chelsea Place to Hold 'Festival of Lights' on December 12th and 13th

Chelsea Place Care Center in Hartford will hold a Festival of Lights event to raise money for Intercommunity, a non-profit substance use treatment, behavioral health and primary care provider in Hartford and East Hartford. The event will include Pictures with Santa, Hot Cocoa and Bake Sale and Raffle Prizes. $5/ticket, $10 max/family. December 12th 4:00pm-7:00pm; December 13th noon-1:00pm and 4:00-7:00pm. -
The team at Chelsea Place Care Center held a retirement celebration for Maintenance Assistant Azzad Ishmael after 38 years of service. Chelsea Place Administrator Judy Konow expressed her appreciation for all of the years of hard work and dedication. Azzad celebrated with his wife Maureen and his team and was all smiles.

The team at Chelsea Place celebrated Dorothy Warner, who was retiring from 38 years of service as a Certified Nursing Assistant, all of which took place at Chelsea Place Care Center. Administrator Judy Konow said of Warner, “she is one of the best CNAs ever!” Thank you for your service to our residents, Dorothy. Good luck in all that you do.

Passionately Pink Fundraiser at Chelsea Place to Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer Research

Chelsea Place held a “Passionately Pink Fundraiser” to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Entertainment was provided by DJ Niffy and pink cupcakes, drinks and decor completed the theme. All proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund to help “save lives and offer hope to people fighting breast cancer.”
