As National Skilled Nursing Care Week 2019 marches on at iCare Health Network care centers, the photos keep on rolling in. Today’s post has 30 pictures from seven care centers hosting a series of different fun events for residents and staff including Zumba, Game Shows, Anniversary Parties, Arts and Crafts, Decades Day and more. 

Monica Whyne walked the halls of Touchpoints at Bloomfield for the past 34 years as a Certified Nurse’s Aide, stretching back to the days of Wintonbury Care Center. This week she finally hung up her nursing shoes and retired. The staff surprised her with a retirement party on Thursday, March 14th and her family and many coworkers joined in on wishing her the best in her new journey in life. 

Front line clinical and other staff as well as Administrators from iCare Health Network provided testimony for State Legislators around adequate Medicaid funding and support for skilled nursing centers in Connecticut. Administrators Jaime Faucher of Touchpoints at Bloomfield, Ray Hackling of Silver Springs Care Center and George Kingston of Trinity Hill Care Center are pictured here providing testimony at the Legislative Office Building. 

Today, Touchpoints Rehab’s signature Congestive Heart Failure rehabilitation program was featured on Fox 61’s Northeast Living featuring Rachel Lutzker. The clip includes an interview with Touchpoints at Bloomfield’s own Director of Nursing Shanta Griffiths and iCare Health Network’s Director of Transitional Care Sarah Landi. Check it out here…  

Fox 61’s Rachel Lutzker filmed a segment for Northeast Living featuring Touchpoints Rehab’s signature Congestive Heart Failure rehabilitation program.
