Parkville Care Center did a fun “speed dating” style meet and greet, connecting with residents from Touchpoints of Bloomfield. Both parties used the iPads and chatted for about 30 minutes. Christmas at iCare: Holiday Pajamas and Ugly Sweater Sightings

As part of the major Christmas festivities that always take place around iCare Health Network, holiday pajamas and ugly sweaters made an appearance. December17th was National Ugly Sweater Day and Parkville Care Center and MissionCare at Holyoke definitely came through! During the first week of November, the team at Parkville Care Center celebrated the retirement of two long tenured members of the team with two parties. Those retiring were both Certified Nurse’s Aides (CNAs); Joanna Marchand, after 32 years of service and Gwendolyn Johnson, after 34 years of service. Parkville Care Center Celebrates Bernadette Williams' 45 Years of Service to the Residents

On July 20, 2021 Parkville Care Center recognized Bernadette Williams, a Certified Nurse’s Aide, for an incredible milestone of 45 years of service to the residents of the center, and counting! That is not a typo. Bernadette has been in service to residents and working alongside the team at Parkville Care Center and its predecessors since 1976. Along with representatives from Hartford Fire Department and Aetna Ambulance Service, the staff of Parkville Care Center in Hartford held a remembrance ceremony for the lives lost during the Greenwood Nursing Home Fire in 2003. Parkville Care Center was formerly known as Park Place and prior to that, at the time of the deadly fire, was named Greenwood Health Center.
