Parkville Care Center Recreation Program Debuts Custom Built Domino Table with Puerto Rican Theme
April 29, 2019On April 25th the recreation team at Parkville Care Center, led by Katie Jeans, took possession of a custom built Domino table, emblazoned with artwork celebrating Puerto Rican heritage. Custom built by Julio Rivera for the residents of Parkville Care Center to put to immediate use. Shown here as Julio constructs the base and the finished product.
iCare Health Network and Parkville Care Center Chart the Path Forward with Open House
March 27, 2019Parkville Care Center welcomed several distinguished guests for a small Open House gathering. Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin and Representative Minnie Gonzalez spoke to a group of Parkville supporters, residents, staff and iCare team members inside Brookman Hall. Hartford Councilman James Sanchez and leadership from Aetna Ambulance Service toured the facility and spoke with residents and staff.
Park Place Health Center Joins the iCare Health Network Under the Name Parkville Care Center
January 29, 2019On January 25, 2019, iCare Health Network assumed operation of Park Place Health Center on Greenwood Street in Hartford. The 150-bed skilled nursing care center will emerge and operate under the name “Parkville Care Center” as recognition of its important place and history in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford. Park Place has played a vital role in skilled nursing and long-term care for the City and region, especially for the Hispanic population it has historically served.
